Pretty cool. Artinfo reports the Smithsonian's National Museum for African American History and Culture has boxed up much of the Falls Church City Obama Campaign Office to preserve it forever in a historical display as an example of a "brilliantly organized campaign."
According to the source, the Smithsonian:
"...took boxes of Obama biographies, banners, maps, phone notebooks, scripts, campaign literature, and even some furniture — a recliner, a table and chairs from the children's center, and a barber's chair, since the location had been a barber shop. ..."
So for you Obamanics suffering from a little campaign withdrawal, you will soon be able to go re-live your glory days spent in Falls Church. Right next to the stuffed woolly mammoth and Fonzie's leather jacket.
Update: The WaPo has picked up the story.
