Falls Church Wins Voter Turnout Challenge

Falls Church City easily won the voter turnout challenge impetuously made by Charlottesville Mayor Dave Norris.  Charlottesville had a mere 67 percent turnout ... and got punked by a casual 82 percent rollout from Falls Church.

More from the Charlottesville Daily Progress and Charlottesville Newsplex.

The beautiful, talented, and hyper-competitive Falls Church Mayor Robin Gardner was charitable in victory, saying, "Charlottesville was never in this thing." Or something like that.

At one point the turnout challenge escalated into a local blog war between Blueweeds and the self-described  "hippies with STDs" from the cvillain Charlottesville blog. Had Charlottesville won the challenge, the cvillain hippies vowed to "bitch slap" Falls Church and use our sassafras tree as a toothbrush before consuming it in the form of ecstasy.

Well, fortunately, the challenge did not work out the way the hippies predicted.

But the thing is, what in the world are we ...

.. going to do with the bust of Thomas Jefferson?
