The article by Dana Milbank in todays Washington Post is a difficult must read on the dangerous series of hate speeches given in Florida yesterday by GOP nominee Sarah Palin ("Unleashed ...").
To counter dropping polls numbers, the McCain Campaign has abandoned a campaign on policy differences and begun executing on a political strategy of increasingly aggressive character assassination of Barack Obama.
Alternately crying and winking coyly at a GOP Florida country club audience primed with mimosas, Palin castigated Obama as a domestic terrorist directly associated with plots to bomb the Pentagon and US Capitol. Palin blamed Obama for the current economic crisis, and called Obama an enemy of the US military.
Not surprisingly, Palin's speech incited the GOP faithful to boo, attack reporters, shout a series of racial slurs, and to openly call out "KILL HIM!"
It is four weeks until election day. My GOP friends, do you know where your party is?
